Credit Management Audit
You're growing. But the cracks are starting to show
More clients, more invoices, more money moving through the business. But the debtors list is growing too, cash is getting harder to manage, and the processes that just about worked when you were smaller aren’t keeping up. The bigger you get, the more expensive that becomes.
A clear picture of where you are, and exactly what needs to change
Our credit management audit gives you a thorough assessment of every part of how your business manages credit and cash flow, mapped against our Cashflow Blueprint.
You’ll know where the gaps are, what the risks are, and what to prioritise.
Whether you implement the changes yourself or work with us to do it, you leave with a plan that’s built around your business. And when those changes are in place, you stop running out of cash despite being profitable.
The Cashflow Bluepirnt
The framework for our credit management audit
Prevention
Getting the right things in place before you take on a new client. Credit checks, terms and conditions, payment terms, and the mindset to apply them consistently.
Operation
How the day to day credit management actually works. Invoicing, chasing, managing information, and what happens when things go wrong.
Detection
Keeping an eye on clients throughout the relationship, not just at the start. Spotting the early signs that payment might become a problem before it does.
Integration
Making sure credit management isn’t just one person’s job. Clear roles, responsibilities, and processes that run through the whole business.
Review
Checking what’s working, what isn’t, and making sure the approach keeps up as the business grows and changes.
Stage 1: The Credit Management Audit
We work through your business against each of the five elements of the Cashflow Blueprint, talking to the relevant people in your team to get a full picture of how things actually work, not just how they’re supposed to. The findings are written up in a detailed report with clear recommendations, prioritised so you know where to start.
The audit is a standalone service — you can take the report and implement the changes yourself, or work with us through Stage 2.
Stage 2: The Credit Management Project
For businesses that want support turning the recommendations into reality. We draft your credit policy and Ts & Cs if required. The implementation is led by you and your team, with us there for sense checking, guidance, and accountability. Monthly check-ins for six months, or longer if required, keep things on track and make sure changes actually stick.
What does it cost?
The Credit Management Audit: from £1,400 + VAT. Price varies depending on the size and complexity of the business.
The Credit Management Project: from £450 + VAT per month, based on half a day of support per month over a minimum of six months. Scope and cost agreed following the audit.
