Terms and Conditions

A client hasn't paid, and you've got nothing in writing to back you up

Maybe the goalposts kept changing, they dispute what was agreed, or they’ve simply decided not to pay. Without solid Ts & Cs, you’re relying on memory, a trail of emails, or a conversation from three months ago that they remember very differently to you.

Let's change that

Or nothing has gone wrong yet, and you'd like to keep it that way

Whether you’ve been burnt before or you’re getting ahead of it, the right Ts & Cs mean fewer disputes, fewer “but you said…” conversations, and fewer clients who treat payment as optional.

If you sell to consumers online, over the phone or by email, there’s a legal dimension too. The Consumer Contracts Regulations place specific obligations on businesses that sell this way, and a properly written set of Ts & Cs is the most straightforward way to meet them. Most small businesses don’t realise it applies to them until something goes wrong.

Get started with Ts & Cs

One difficult client can cost you far more than a professionally written set of Ts & Cs ever will

The time spent chasing, the stress of a dispute, the invoices that never get paid. Solid Ts & Cs won’t prevent every problem, but they give you a far stronger position when one arises.

What the right Ts & Cs actually give you

Clients see a business that takes itself seriously. You go into every new relationship with expectations clear on both sides, and there’s real confidence in that. When something does go wrong, you have something solid to point to. That peace of mind is exactly what clients tell us they value most.

Let's protect your business

"Nicki's expertise gave me confidence that my business is properly protected."

Bespoke to your business, not a template with your name on it

When we draft terms and conditions for small businesses, we start with questions most businesses haven’t thought to ask. About how you work, what you deliver, how you charge, and what’s gone wrong before. The result is a set of Ts & Cs that reflects how you actually operate, covers situations you might not have considered, and gives your clients a clear picture of what working with you looks like.

"Nicki's expertise extends to anticipating and protecting against a variety of situations you might not have even considered, but which make perfect sense once you're aware of them."

Damon McNally, Baileys Domestic Appliances

What does it cost?

Where we start depends on what you already have.

New Ts & Cs, built around how you work

For businesses with nothing in place, or where existing terms are so far from fit for purpose that starting fresh makes more sense. Includes a Ts & Cs discovery call, a full bespoke draft, and as many revisions as it takes to get to a final version you’re happy with.

£495 + VAT per set.

Let's get drafting

Already have Ts & Cs, but not sure they're doing the job

Ts & Cs go out of date. Your business changes, legislation changes, or you realise after a tricky client situation that your terms didn’t cover what you thought they did. Maybe you wrote them yourself, used a template, or had AI generate them. We review what you have and give you written feedback on the gaps and risks.

£105 + VAT per set.

If updates are needed, we’ll quote for those separately. Updates typically cost between £175 and £275 + VAT per set, depending on how much needs changing.

Your Ts & Cs need to keep up as your business grows and changes.

Getting them written is the start, not the finish

Keep your Ts & Cs up to date with our subscription service

Your business doesn’t stand still, and neither should your terms. New services, a client who wants to amend your payment terms, a question about whether something is covered. These things come up, and when they do, you want a quick answer from someone who knows your business.

For £25 + VAT per month on a 12-month direct debit, you get email access throughout the year for any questions, a check on any amendments your clients request, minor updates as your business changes, and a full review and update at the end of the 12 months if one is needed.

Available exclusively to clients whose Ts & Cs we have written or updated.

"This has not only allowed me to feel confident that my terms and conditions are kept up to date but at every service update, terms query, every blip I've come across with clients over the terms, Nicki has been at the end of an email."
